Eagle Trailways currently has a Satisfactory safety rating, the highest possible issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation http://www.safersys.org.
We are also an approved carrier for the Department of Defense by the Surface Deployment Distribution Command.
To obtain and keep this approval Eagle Trailways must go through extensive inspections and audits on a regular basis and maintain liability insurance in the amount of 5 million dollars per occurrence.
We only hire experienced bus drivers that have been driving buses at least two years. Our drivers are highly trained professionals and qualified under all of the current state and federal Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
We have an extensive driver safety program consisting of safety meeting, refresher training seminars and monitoring of all drivers by the safety director.
All of our drivers hold a current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement, have a valid medical certificate and undergo random drug testing which is a mandatory requirement of the Department of Transportation.
In addition to this, all Eagle drivers undergo an extensive background check.
